Q: DO I HAVE TO BOOK?

A: The only time booking is not required is during summer holidays when we are open for walk-ons. During term time we only open the site when there are bookings so please book ahead of time.

Q: DOES IT HURT?

A: No.  All of our simulated weapons use infra-red technology, which sends a harmless signal out from your gun that can’t even be seen with the naked eye. There are no physical projectiles fired from the weapons so no nasty bruises from recoil.

Q: WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE FOR THIS ACTIVITY?

A: Typically this activity is suitable for anyone 12+ years old. We welcome children from the age of 10 to participate however due to the weight of the guns it would be best to attend walk on sessions as they are shorter in duration. We can also provide stands to help support the weight of the guns. Please take into consideration the individual differences of children, some 10 year olds will be able to hold a gun with ease while others might struggle.

In addition anyone under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

Q. DOES ARCHERY CLASH HURT?

A. Unlike Paintball, the arrows do not hurt on contact and have been compared to being hit by a soft ball. The arrows don’t leave welts, bruises, or marks, making it fun and safe for all players aged 12+. Every player is provided with a full face mask, wrist protector and we also have some optional body armour.

Q. WHAT IS THE DRAW WEIGHT OF THE BOWS?

A. To cover the widest array of users we use 22lbs draw weight bows. These can be used by 12 years+ The draw weight is measured at 28" draw which would be an average adult draw length, juniors cannot pull back as far so the draw weight will reduce.

Q. DO PARTICIPANTS HAVE TO WEAR MASKS?

A. Although the arrows are low impact, we implement the use of masks at all times. It is better to be safe than sorry. The masks protect your eyes, face, and throat. For glasses wearers we have an extra wide mask to accommodate frames.
